The scope of this book really is immense. The illustrations by Malcolm Fryer rise to the occasion masterfully. Planned as the first (failed) bit of writing it went into the book network and sold 2k copies. The book is almost a work of art in itself.. heavy, debossed… almost a rage against the kindle. You could definitely stun a burglar with it if you clocked them.. serves therefore as a sort of self-defence object!

The story traces the Ashcroft family living in Cambridge who make contact with something looking for its roots. The large Hadron collider at CERN is the backdrop for a sci-fi story which is biblical, scientific, time travelling, spiritual…you name it.

Malcolm Fryer who was the real first artist of Art-Amis shows here what a genius he is. This story was meant to be the middle of a six or seven book splurge of creativity. The financial crisis put a stop to that…but interestingly the illustrations for the prequel exist.

It’s called the FAT POLICE. I think the concept needs finishing. This story…book sub-zero to Bugz contact zero needs reviving too. In the intervening twelve years, a lot of what was predicted has happened!
