Falconer and the Dauntless are driven over the reef into the coral strewn lagoon which fringes the strange island. Here we see the mountains rising from the coastal fringe of beach, palm trees and sand dunes. Clouds which have a purple hue bubble up in the distance ready to douse everything with warm rain.
