Megaliths de Lampouy
About 25 minutes from Dinan in Brittany, I was told about these outstanding megaliths.
You could sense the energy in the place. The striking resemblance to stones seen in Morbihan on the Breton coast, but also Avebury in England is striking. The flat square stones some 2.5 metres by 3 metres, are very similar to stones seen in the Avebury circle. The standing menhir pictured has a splendid tree in the immediate background
… I will find out what it is. Its symmetry gives it a sort of tree of life look. The immediate area is simply ‘old’ ..deciduous woodland ..tracks with secluded pathways. You just sense the energy in this site. The fact it still exists in a rather benign agricultural setting adds to the sense of wonder and mystery.
The slab-like stones must weigh 50 tonnes or more.
The menhir pictured equally has to be 40 tonnes.
Other stones, now fallen or broken, make an assembly in a line. There have to be 400 tonnes of rock at this site.
