Tzanetos cafe, Ithaca

A slight departure from the fantasy or Mesolithic stones, I had a crack at capturing this café/bar on Ithaca, which I visit each year.

As I grapple with the oil paints, you can see that the scene has a few influences. The reflection in the window of the square that fronts the café is difficult.

I am trying to emphasise the bar, but change the perspective slightly on the left.

What do you do with the people?
The children behind the e-bike.

Everything is drifting to the left, including the lamp.

It’s early evening.

It isn’t a small picture – maybe 1 × 1 metre.
