A trip to see Patricia Morales
On the trip, I popped in to see Patricia Morales.
This lovely lady is probably the finest painter of Mayan pottery. My ‘daubs’ are oafish compared to her exquisite precision.
The only thing in my favour is ‘it’s new’ and it has a story of some sort attached to it.
Patricia…well the name makes me think of Africa. But aside from that I was adopted by a raccoon, which had me anticipating a story.
Patricia did me a glyph of a raccoon as found in the Maya codex. Raccoons were cunning, wise, strategic and difficult to stop eating maize. Many of the raccoon’s characteristics remind me of Odysseus in the Homeric tale of Troy!
So if you can keep a grip on this well done. The picture I did is of Patricia’s dining establishment. The soup de Lima and chicken empanadas I would recommend.
Patricia drew these unique glyphs of the raccoon. They carry the official Patricia stamp. Cool ..for sure the story will follow
