David and Ross’s Odyssey

This Thursday, Ross, my son, and I will set off to drive to Stavros in Ithika, a Greek island, with a car full of paintings and paraphernalia to run an exhibition. It doesn’t sound so much, but to create all the paintings, frame them, write the brochure and hope the exhibition place …which is a wonderful bar ‘understand’ is a bit of an Odyssey in every sense.

The ‘Heart of Ithica exhibition’ will run this summer, from mid-May to October. Featuring pictures from Janetos Bar, the countryside, Filliatro Beach and an inspiring tree of life, it will have something for everyone. Anyhow, it is a bit of fun in an age dominated by war, AI and authoritarian men trying to dominate the world.

Something human in a wonderful place. Ironically, Homer made famous by writing about a war with larger-than-life characters and Gods. Some things never change!
