Summer Solstice Exhibition 2026

We are delighted to announce that our “Stones that Talk” exhibition near Aylesbury has opened alongside the summer solstice celebrations. The launch weekend brought together a wonderful mix of druids, witches, everyday farmers, and visitors, all gathering to enjoy the sunset and mark this ancient turning point of the year.

We have installed a bijou exhibition at Elderberry House, run by Ben and Cody, and it has been a joy to see how perfectly the artwork fits the space. The exhibition is going a treat, with visitors enjoying both the art and the unique atmosphere of the surrounding landscape.

Of course, the solstice has deep pagan roots, drawing us back to the mysteries of Neolithic prehistory. With Avebury expected to be packed this weekend and a heatwave on the way, it feels like the perfect time to celebrate creativity, history, and the landscape that connects them both.

If you’re in the area, do pop along to see the exhibition and enjoy a cider or a superb glass of light ale while taking in the views across the rolling fields. Looking out across this countryside, if you’ve ever wondered what happened to the England of King Alfred or even Arthur, you’ll find traces of it here. Yes, it is farmed land, but it remains one of England’s most beautiful and hidden counties.

You could call it a southern version of Northumberland, but here we have chalk horses, Iron Age hill forts, and stones that seem to tell their own stories. Who needs The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe when you can have the Horse, the Druid and the Stone?

We look forward to welcoming more visitors over the coming weeks. Until then, enjoy the solstice, enjoy the countryside, and above all, enjoy the creativity.
